How TO renovate an apartment in five easy steps: (and UNDER budget)

  1. Clean and paint the apartment - goodbye dingy beige, hello crisp white. With all the natural day light allowed through the floor to ceiling windows, white seemed like the best option to make the space feel even larger.

2. Open up the kitchen - includes drywall & paint touch-ups.

3. Change countertop - a light colored terrazzo quartz matches the midcentury interior design theme and brightens up the space.

4. Upgrade bathrooms - new vanities, sinks, countertops, chrome faucets, refinished both tubs, re-grouting the shower walls and floor tiles, and install new shower fixtures.

5. New light fixtures throughout the apartment. A brushed bronze sputnik for the living area adds an element of design with a floor to ceiling window backdrop. in the hallways and kitchen, I installed bronze and glass nautical fixtures as an homage to the nautical nature of Coconut Grove. In the bedrooms I installed fans because, Florida.
